Taking part with Ipsos MORI
We’d like to thank all the families who generously donated their time and supported Life Study by accepting a visit from Ipsos MORI. As of October 2015, recruitment to Life Study ended – you can read more about the closure of Life Study here. All the research undertaken using Life Study information will be freely available to the public and can be accessed here: Life Study Reports
- How will my information used?
-
When we first wrote to you about taking part in Life Study we invited you to take part in a pilot that would help us understand the best methods for conducting this type of research.
We said we would like to use your information for these purposes for up to three years. This period has now elapsed. Consequently the data have been removed from the UK Data Archive and permanently destroyed.
- Will you contact me again?
-
Life study
will not contact you again.
- Will you use information from my routinely collected information?
-
We will not use or link your Life Study information to your routinely collected information to test this process, even if at the time you joined the study you agreed to this. This is because all your Life Study information has now been permanently destroyed.
- Thinking about taking part in future research?
-
Research like Life Study, relies on the generous involvement of families, like you, who dedicate their time to helping research answers important questions on child health and wellbeing. Although it is disappointing that Life Study did not continue we hope that it does not discourage you or your family from taking part in research in the future.
If you do want to find out more about being involved in future research please take a look at www.invo.org.uk.
At the time Life Study closed, we contacted all families who participated in the study. Copies of the letters we sent are available here for reference:
